Cleaning the beach
I run a restaurant in Karon and I’m quite worried about the trash on the beach. It’s my source of income as my livelihood depends on tourism. Can I, without breaking Thai law, employ two people to clean my part of the beach without any problems?

Jan Akerlind, Karon Beach.
It’s not against the law. What you propose is actually a very good deed and should be commended and encouraged. However, please keep in mind that the beach is public property and everybody has a right to use it; it is not private property.
