What are the height restrictions for fixed or permanent structures in Phuket? Who is responsible for monitoring the height of buildings?

    Lowlife, Patong.

In Patong, the Municipality is responsible for monitoring construction. We are the organization that issues licenses to build. In 1997, the Ministry of Science issued new rules on building heights, as follows: - Area 1: from the high-tide mark, 50 meters inland, the maximum allowable height for any structure is 6 meters. - Area 2: from 50 meters from the high-tide mark to 200 meters from the high-tide mark, the maximum allowable height for any structure is 12 meters. - Area 3: from 200 meters to 400 meters from the high-tide mark, the maximum height is 16 meters. - Anywhere else, the maximum height is 23 meters.
