Music copyright

How long is music copyright valid for in Thailand? Can I make compilation CDs of 1950s and 1960s music?

Recorded music copyright protection in Thailand lasts for 50 years, effective from the date of release. So, to compile a CD of 1950s and ’60s music, as you propose, would be a violation of copyright if it would be for commercial purposes. If, however, the recording is for private, non-commercial use, the law allows this.
