Requirements for marriage
My Thai fiancée and I are planning to get married. And we are wondering what kind of papers a Thai national needs in order to get married? Are there restrictions regarding age? I have heard that Thai nationals need to be over 20 years of age in order to get married.

Anyone 17, 18 or 19 years old must have the consent of his or her parents, who must go to the local District Office to sign a document giving their permission. Anyone under 17 may get married only after receiving the permission of the court. There are no restrictions on anyone aged 20 or over. To marry, your fiancée must bring her ID card and her house registration paper.
