PHUKET: Phuket has been widely known and respected for its diverse marine industry and aquatic life. We have a vibrant yachting scene and a healthy scuba diving industry vital ingredients in 'Brand Phuket'. But now our reputation for marine tourism is under attack on many fronts dwindling fish stocks, boat accidents, poor safety standards, yachting restrictions, low respect for marine life and prejudicial treatment of the foreign diving community by government authorities.

Join Natasha Eldred of Shine PR as she leads a discussion of these and other threats to Phuket's reputation as a friendly destination for marine tourists.

Our special guest speaker, Ric O'Barry of 'The Dolphin Project' and the award-winning documentary The Cove, will elaborate on his well known views with regard to dolphins in captivity.
